Collecting Art: A Panel Discussion for the Novice

Cowan’s Auctions is pleased to present an evening of discussion on how to begin collecting art in today’s modern climate. Panelists will include photographer and graphic designer, Laura Bidwell, Gallery Director of 2731 Prospect, Lauren Davies, and the Assistant Curator of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Will Brown. Discussion will revolve around guiding new collectors through the process of finding and acquiring works of art that fit their lifestyle, taste, and budget.
There will be a cocktail hour at 6:00pm with discussion to follow at 7:00pm.
This is a free event and is open to the public.

Cowan’s is proud to introduce our new Cleveland Office, opening June 2. Our first auction is scheduled for September.
Michael DeFina, previously the owner of DeFina Auction’s is our Regional Representative. Michael owned and operated his own auction business in the Cleveland area for more than thirty years. He brings extensive product knowledge, and the highest level of honesty and integrity. Michael will conduct regular auction appraisals at the office; he will also be “on the road,” making private and institutional calls.
