Bowie Knife Attributed to C. Congreve

9.75" clip point blade, 3.25" false edge, serration on the back edge. 14.75" overall length. German silver quillon, checkered ivory handles, German silver pommel of claim shell design. No scabbard. Marked Celebrated Hunting knife in a rectangle just under the serrated edge about 2" from the quillon. Maker's name is not on knife. Ca 1830s.

Blade is untouched with nice grey to brown patina.  Staining mixing in.   Markings are sharp and crisp.  German silver with nice untouched patina.  Ivory with nice aged yellow patina.
