3/4" flared muzzles with about .44 caliber bores, 3 1/2" round iron blunderbuss style barrels with 3 1/4" snap bayonets under the barrels. Box lock flint actions with sliding pan locking safeties, flat reinforced cocks. Iron frames lightly engraved, reverse of barrels with Liege proof marks, obverse with Crown/AF trademark of Auguste Fancotte. Checkered bag shaped walnut grips with carved shell patterns at frame. Contained in French style form-fit casing with maroon velvet lining and accessories, including combination bullet mold/loading tool, copper powder flask and spare flints.
Condition:
Very good, with age toned pewter metal with lightly scattered minor surface oxidation and light pinpricking. Bores good, actions mechanically functional, as are snap bayonets. Casing very good made of very attractive burled walnut with original lining. Case showing minor dings and mars and lining with light wear. Accessories all appear to be original to the set and are all in good condition. A very nice cased set that displays very well.
