*Colt 1911A1 Commemorative Tokyo Bay Sept. 2, 1945

Colt .45 Auto caliber, 5" barrel length, S/N 2598PTO, left side of the slide action marked "Pearl Harbor*Coral Sea*Corregidor" over "Guadalcanal*Tarawa*Saipan*Leyete Gulf*Iwo Jima*Okinawa*Toyko".  The battle names are bordered by nicely decorated engraved palm leaves.  Left side of the frame is marked in 2 lines with Colt Hartford address next to Rampant Colt logo.  Right side of the slide action is marked "World War II Commemorative" over "Pacific Theater of Operations" bordered with nicely engraved palm leaves.  Nickel finish with smooth walnut grips.  Grips have gold Rampant Colt logo.  Comes in wood display case honoring the Tokyo Bay September 2, 1945.  The firearm rest in a green lining under glass with a Commemorative plaque "World War II Commemorative Asiatic-Pacific Theatre December 7, 1941 - September 2, 1945". 

 

Condition:

Retains most of the bright nickel finish throughout.  Markings and engraving are sharp and crisp.  Case is excellent.  Has never been fired.
