Lot of 8 Jerome Biederman gouache original illustration art from his 1973-1974 Golden Age of Aircraft Series, signed and labeled by the artist. Includes:

Group 1 painting 5, 1934 Luscombe High-wing Monoplane,  19x 14 in. (sight) and 26 x 20 in. with its mount. 

Group 4 painting 23, 1959 Boeing Tri-motor Biplane, 19 x 14 in. (sight) and 26 x 20 in. with its mount. 

Group 1 painting 4, 1930 Bellamea High-wing Monoplane, 19 x 14 in. (sight) and 26 x 20 in. with its mount. 

Group 1 painting 3, 1930 Lockleed Low-wing Light Transport, 19 x 14 in. (sight) and 26 x 20 in. with its mount. 

Group 4 painting 2, 1920 De Harvill DH-4B Biplane (modified to single sent for air mail usage), 19 x 14 in. (sight) and 26 x 20 in. 

Group 1 painting 6, 1927 Krieder-Riesner "Challenger" C-2 2-place biplane, 19 x 14 in. (sight) and 26 x 20 in. with its mount.

Series 2 painting 11, 1939 Beechcraft D-17R from Biederman's 1983-1988 Golden Age Aircraft Series, 19 x 14 in. (sight) and 26 x 20 in. with its mount. 

"My final year in high school, I convinced myself that, above all else, I wanted to become an artist,” wrote Jerome Biederman in the November-December 1970 issue of Horseless Carriage Gazette. Biederman built a prolific career as a pioneering artist of inventions in transportation that moved on land, air, and sea. His paintings were prominently featured in McCleery-Cumming Corporation calendars, Playboy magazine, Automobile Quarterly, and Horseless Carriage Gazette for over thirty years. 

 

Condition:

All are in good condition with some soiling of the mount. The 1983 series has some glue residue from a previous mat.
