Pair Of Brass Barreled Blunderbuss Pistols With Folding Bayonets
.90 cannon flared muzzles, with 6" brass barrels with 5 1/2" snap bayonets mounted underneath. Flint box lock action, with sliding pan-locking safeties, and flat reinforced cocks. Brass frames engraved with panoplies of arms and FLERON on one side and A PARIS on the other side. Engraved iron triggerguards release bayonets by pulling them to the rear. Side mounted pipes for ramrods. Horn tipped wooden ramrods.
Condition:
Good to Very Good. Both pistols have a rich butterscotch patina on the brass and steel mountings cleaned to bright. Both locks and safeties function correctly. Both bayonets release correctly and lock into their folded position as they should, but need adjustment to reliably lock into the extended position. Wood grips good. A nice pair of French pistols with snap bayonets.
