Pair of German Elliuptical Bore Flintlock Blunderbusses, by Anton Sebert

1 3/8" bore diameter, 10.25" octagonal/round iron barrel with elliptical bore. Barrels with brass bead sight. The locks are engraved Anton Sebert, and have sliding safeties. The pistols are adorned with brass furniture, with notable baroque form thumbrests and buttcaps. The triggerguards have extended tangs, with acanthus form finials. The walnut stocks have carved features around the locks, tangs and ramrod channels.

 

Condition:

The barrels and locks have bright and shiny patinas. The brass has a mostly uniform mustard patina. Both stocks have very slight nicks and dings, but are in very good condition. One of the pistols has a slight age crack extending forward of the lock. Both have very good bores, and function mechanically.
