.44 short rimfire. 2.5" barrel length. SN: 26. Double-action revolver with fixed fluted 5-shot cylinder. Features a checkered spur hammer, and fixed notch and blade sights. Nickel plate finish and checkered walnut grips. Item is marked with various proofs, caliber designation, serial number to frame, and "British Bulldog" to top strap.
Condition:
Fair. Bore is somewhat dark and has oxidation to rifling. Most of the nickel plate finish has worn away and only remains in small specks near edges and creases of frame. There is some pitting and light surface oxidation to frame overall. Left side grip has a bite to wood, and both grips show wear to checkering. Cylinder is somewhat loose when cocked, and does a quarter turn when hammer is not cocked.
